5. Does not support Memory Stick media and Memory Stick PRO media using the MagicGate function. Tested to support Memory Stick PRO media for up to 1GB. Does not support 5.0V SmartMedia media or the ID function of SmartMedia media with IDs. Does not support the SD Memory Card media copyright protection function.

8. The digital TV tuner supports a CableCARD™ removable security module. Contact your cable operator to receive a CableCARD compatible with your operator’s network (additional charges may apply). Not all functions that are available when using a set-top box provided by your cable operator will be supported by CableCARD (e.g., video-on-demand and pay-per-view functionality may not be supported).

9. Requires 802.11b or 802.11g compatible access point. Some functionality may require Internet services, which may require a fee.

10. The Microsoft Office 2007 60-Day Trial software is intended for evaluation purposes only. This trial software is installed on your system and you must activate the software before you can use it. Product activation procedures will be detailed during initial launch of the software; activation requires Internet access. This software has an expiration date of 60 days from date of first use, at which time the software will operate under reduced-functionality mode, limiting end-use options and operations.

11. As with other optical media devices, circumstances may limit compatibility or prevent Blu-ray Disc™ media playback. VAIO computers may not support movie playback on packaged media recorded in AVC or VC1 formats at high bit rates.

12. Video recording to Blu-ray Disc™ media is done in MP2 format only.

13. Total Available Graphics Memory refers to the new Windows Vista classification of graphics memory, which is the total of Dedicated Video Memory, System Video Memory and Shared System Memory. Shared System Memory varies depending on the operating condition and system memory size.

14. Certain circumstances may limit/prevent Blu-ray Disc or DVD disc playback, or require an HDMI™-capable TV for HD playback. Requires compatible HDTV for high definition playback.
