Gets worse every purchase
The very first lamp I got with the TV lasted 5 years.....bought a new replacement and that one lasted 2 years......bought one Oct 2011 and now I have to replace that one.....not good....not good......thinking I am going to replace the TV with a new one and most likely won't be a Sony......

Poor quality
Color fades and tv darkens after 3 months use of new lamp.

After six years
I bought my 50" Sony WEGA in January 2005, and the light pack started to go within two years. I guess I was either stubborn to not replace it or fortunate to have it last six years, but this NOS replacement with no trustworthy generic leaves me no choice but to buy another set the next time the lamp goes out. It's robbery to have to buy this necessary $200 product every couple years, when my parents cheap vacuum ray tube TV worked for decades.

repay to Sony park
I just buy last year this light bulb then I need to change again this year..that cheating manufukture Sony corp...........How can I do with 60 inch I bought 4500.00 ..with out Light bulb.....no choice alright ,,,,Sony know that...I will buy another brand name.......
