Such A Shame I bought this television truly on the Sony name alone, understanding it to be superior product to some of the other manufacturers, including Mitsubishi. Imagine my disappointment when my television failed because of a construction issue that Sony KNEW about, but failed to inform consumers of. A class action lawsuit followed, and folks' issues started being semi-resolved IF the consumer was insistent enough. However, when I brought my issue to their attention, I was told they could not help me in any way. Apparently any help they could give expired, ironically, just the day before I called (did it really though?). Sadly, I'll never buy from Sony again...hard to trust a company that knowingly mismanufactures and misrepresents. October 31, 2011
Wont buy another sony product! My $4000.00 tv has had several issues, multiple bulbs burned out, 2 bad optical blocks, etc. Sony was sued over these blocks and only offered an extended warranty...i will not purchase another sony product again. June 20, 2011
Sony messed up Sony replaced the optical block on this one time already. Now I am starting to see dimming and yellowing on white screens indicating that it is going south again. For spending near $4000 on this tv back in 2005/06...one would think it would last longer. Sony is not warrantying the obviously defective set anymore. They got the money...why would they? Look up this tv or the 50" version on the net and you will see taht they should have recalled it!!!!! February 24, 2011
