life of xl5200 bulb I have a 60 inch sony kds-60A3000 and I set my TV on power saving mode. That may be the reason the bulb has so far lasted me over 3 1/2 years. TV runs quite a bit too. I have it set up as a security screen also to view my driveway through a camera. I would recomend a online purchase and you'll save $ over retail price. The main thing also that you wear a clean cloth glove when ever handling the bulb as your skin oils will shorten the life of the bulb. YouTube has videos showing how to replace the bulbs. The only thing I wish I did was to wait a few more months to buy a flat screen thin model, LED model..But the closeout price was unreal at the time..oh well.. April 25, 2011
Replacement Lamp Cost Wow... Did we get ripped off. On our third replacement lamp... Over $600 invested in repairs. At one time we had 6 Sony Televisions in our household. Switching to Samsung and LG. Really disappointed. April 10, 2011
no bang for the buck i have had my tv for 4+ years two date i have had to replace my bulb 4 times and needs to be replaced again also poor video engine performance. it has been replaced twice. lucky for me i bought the extended warranty February 1, 2011
Costly Purchase We just replaced the lamp August 4, 2010. We expected to see a longer life with the new lamp. I'm very disappointed that the lamp life is so SHORT! It is very costly to replace this lamp every 5 months. Regards IDonna Shelton January 27, 2011
