Piece of junk!! This product, which is my second, lasted all of 1 year. I bought it to have the handy remote. Remote failed and the buttons on the radio failed as well. Talking to customer service is a joke. All they want to do is sell me a new remote for $30.00. Sony used to have quality ... no more. There are much better choices out there. I would give it less than on star if I could. I October 2, 2012
Would not buy this product again....Your unable to do anything without the remote, well no not quite....The reason for buying was to take it to the cemetery (don't laugh) The worst part it has poor sound quality when playing the radio, can't get many stations, lots of static....Location does not improve anything,indoor/outdoor.......Waste of MONEY..POOR QUALITY October 1, 2012

Those quality items include a digital FM/AM tuner with 30 total station presets, CD player, cassette recorder/player, and two full range speakers with mega bass sound system. This boombox features a headphone jack for private listening and a full function remote commander for convenient control of the stereo from a distance. This boombox is a non-upgradeable model and was designed for customers that do not own or have no desire to own an iPod or other MP3 player. The main unit is powered by six D cell batteries and the remote control takes two AAA batteries. AC power is also available to the unit with the supplied, detachable AC power cord.
