TV looks brand new
It was extremely easy to replace this bulb. Makes my 55 inch WEGA look brand new with a vivid bright picture. I hope this bulb last 6 years like the first one did.

XL-2200 LAMP & SONY SERVICES
I HAD MY XL-2200 LAMP GO OUT AFTER 8 YEARS. ORDERED A NEW LAMP FROM SONY ON LINE, REPRESENTATIVE WAS VERY HELPFUL ON LINE. INSTALLED THE NEW LAMP IN ABOUT 15 MINUTES, GREAT PICTURE AGAIN, JUST LIKE NEW. THE LAMP COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE CHEAPER.

Great Results, Minimum Hassle
First of all, I have nothing but good things to say about the performance of my original bulb. I bought my TV just before the Super Bowl in February 2005. I am now replacing the lamp in June 2011. Six great years!
I ordered this product with standard shipping on a Monday and it arrived that Saturday. I was concerned about the replacement process, because I am not handy in any way, but it was ridiculously simple, and took only 10 minutes (and that includes me looking at the owner's manual every 2 seconds.) My TV now looks like it did the day I brought it home. It's like I got a new TV! Now if Sony would come down about 50 bucks on the price, it would be perfect.

Cheaper than a new TV
Great service, quick shipping, easy to install, great picture once again. Hope it lasts another 6 years like the original one did.
