XS Series Grand WEGA televisions offer access to advanced menu functions that typically are found only in service menus. You can now access and adjust the following functions according to your taste:Gamma Correction: Adjusts the balance between bright and dark areas of the picture.Black Correction: Enhances black colors to give the picture strong contrast.White Balance: Fine-adjusts the white color intensity by changing the red, green, and blue levels.Detail Enhancement: Sharpens picture defintion.Clear White: Emphasizes white colors

Live Color and Live Color Demo Mode

Sony's innovative circuit that emphasizes blues and greens without affecting reds for a more natural, vivid picture. Three levels of enhancement are available (High, Medium, Low) as well as Off. And the Live Color Demo Mode produces a split-screen that shows a side-by-side comparison of the picture with Live Color and without it. The Live Color Demo Mode can be accessed through the Application Menu. Pressing the RESET button exits the demo mode.

Awesome. Ahead of its time Wow what a TV. Way ahead of its time. I was going to buy the XBR series but learned this XS series was actually higher in the lineup and better. Has all the latest connection options including dual hdmi with spdif and cablecard. ISF Calibrated picture is the best I've seen. Great color accuracy. Just hit this one out of the park sony. Great TV I own the KDF-60XS955 and the KDS-R60XBR2. Both TVs look virtually identical. The blacks on the XBR2 are slightly better, but both are fantastic TVs. The best I've seen. The 60XS955 has a great picture and I love the cablecard slot. February 25, 2009
