Houston Astros "Play with a Pro" Challenge

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MAKING A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE CHANCES OF WINNING. Void outside the State of Florida and where prohibited.

1. Eligibility. The Houston Astros Play with a Pro Challenge ("Promotion") is open only to legal residents of Harris, Ft. Bend, Montgomery and Galveston County who are at least 13 or older at the time of entry and who shall physically be in Harris County, Texas between June 25, 2011 through August 6, 2011 ("Promotion Period"). Employees of Sponsor and its parent, subsidiaries and affiliated companies and their immediate families are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.
2. Sponsor. Sony Electronics Inc., 16530 Via Esprillo, San Diego, CA 92127 ("Sponsor"). Houston Astros baseball club, a Texas Corporation, Minutemaid Park, 501 Crawford, Houston, TX 77002 will fulfill all prizes.
3. Timing. The Promotion starts June 25, 2011 and ends August 6, 2011. The Promotion is divided into four (4) tournament rounds. Rounds 1 and 2 are open to all eligible entrants to play MLB '11: The Show at the Sony retail store located at Houston Galleria, Houston, TX. The first and second place winners determined by the highest score from Rounds 1 and 2 will be given an invitation to compete in Round 3 for the Grand Prize in the Finals.
4. How to Enter. Visit the Sony retail store in Houston Galleria (5015 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77056) during the corresponding Round 1 and 2 entry times to register for a time slot. After the Entrant has played MLB '11: The Show Home Run Derby mode in 3D, a Sony Store representative will note and keep a record of the Entrant's score for that day. Each entrant will be required to use the same Houston Astros player and play until the round reaches 5 outs. The first and second place winners which will be determined by the highest point total of Rounds 1 and 2 will be contacted by a Houston Astros representative and invited to compete in Round 3 for the Grand Prize (see Chart for dates). The first and second place winners with the highest point total of Rounds 1 and 2 will be contacted using the contact information provided on their entry form via phone, email and/or text message and must respond to such representative within forty eight (48) hours (as provided in Section 7). In the event of a tie, a rematch will be played until one player beats the other player with a higher score. The Round 3 qualifying tournament will be held at the Sony retail store in Houston Galleria at 1pm on Saturday, July 16, 2011 and played in the MLB '11: The Show 3D Home Run Derby mode [5 outs]. Round 3 will consist of one-on-one, single elimination tournaments in which the four (4) top Entrants will compete against one another. The entrant left standing with the top score will be named the Grand Prize Winner and compete in the Finals against the Houston Astros Pro player. The Finals will be one-on-one play in the MLB '11: The Show 3D Home Run Derby mode [5 outs].
5. Entry Conditions. Limit one (1) entry per person per day in Rounds 1 and 2. Entries are good only for the day of entry and will not carry over to any remaining days. Sponsor is not responsible for technical, hardware or software failures, malfunctions, or unforeseen schedule changes that may limit an Entrant's ability to participate in the Promotion, even if caused by Sponsor's negligence. Sponsor has the sole and absolute discretion to modify, cancel or suspend this Promotion should virus, bugs unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor's control affect the administration, security or proper play of the Promotion or Sponsor otherwise becomes incapable of running the Promotion as planned. Sponsor is not responsible for changes to Entrant's contact information. Sponsor has the sole and absolute discretion to disqualify any entry not satisfying these Official Rules. Sponsor has the sole and absolute discretion to disqualify Entrants who violate these Official Rules, tamper with the operation of the Promotion or engage in any conduct that is detrimental or unfair to Sponsor, the Promotion or any other Entrant.
6. Winner Selection. The first and second place players from Rounds 1 and 2 of the MLB '11: The Show Home Run Derby mode will advance to Round 3. (Only the four (4) top Entrants are eligible to compete in Round 3. In the event of a tie, a rematch will be played until one player beats the other player with a higher score.) Should the winner decline the chance to play or not be available, then the runner up from that round will fill their place and so on until a player accepts. Winners will receive the chance to play in Round 3 at The Sony Store in Houston Galleria for a chance to win the Grand Prize to play in the Finals against a Houston Astros Pro player.
7. Winner Requirements. After successfully competing, potential Prize Winners need not be present to win however they must respond within two days from the Houston Astros's notification. Potential Prize Winners who do not respond within forty eight (48) hours of being notified will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected based upon the next highest score for that Round day. All Prize Winners must report to the Sony retail store (described above) at a time provided by the Sponsor to compete for the Grand Prize and the failure to do so will result in disqualification. If a potential Prize Winner is a minor, such Prize Winner must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian in order to compete in Round 3. All Prize Winners will be required to sign an Affidavit (defined below) in order to compete in the Round 3 of this Challenge. Each Prize Winner will compete in the Round 3 qualifying tournament as described in Section 4 above and the Round 3 winner will be deemed the Grand Prize Winner.
8. Prizes. Sponsor will award 1 prize of a $25 Sony store gift card to the first and second place winners of Rounds 1 and 2 (4 prizes total). Sponsor will award (1) Grand Prize for the Round 3 winner which includes the opportunity to play the MLB '11: The Show in 3D against a Houston Astros Player, an autographed Houston Astros jersey, one (1) Sony Cybershot-DSC-W330, (4) tickets and one (1) parking pass, as well as the ceremonial 1st pitch opportunity to the August 6th, 2011 game. Total ARV is $1,270. Prize fulfillment is based on availability. The location of the game tickets and the particular autographed items awarded are at the sole discretion of the Houston Astros. Sponsor has the sole and absolute discretion to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if a prize is unavailable. If a prize is returned to Sponsor as undeliverable, Sponsor has the sole and absolute discretion to disqualify a winner and select an alternate winner. If a winning Entrant is a minor, then Sponsor will award the prize to that Entrant's parent or legal guardian. Prizes are non-transferable. All expenses and incidental costs not expressly stated in the prize descriptions above, include, but not limited to, ground transportation, meals, personal charges or other expenses are the responsibility solely of the winners. No cash back or credit will be given for any reason. Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees associated with prize receipt and/or use. Prizes will be provided at the end of Round 3 in-store on July 16, 2011.
9. Odds of Winning. Odds of winning are determined by the number of eligible entrants playing the tournament.
10. Affidavit and Release. By accepting a prize, a winning Entrant agrees to the use of his or her name and likeness for purposes of advertising, trade or promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law, and agrees, if required, to sign and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability (the "Affidavit") within a period that Sponsor specifies.
11. Limitations of Liability. By attempting to enter, entering or accepting a Promotion prize, an Entrant agrees to release Sponsor and its parent, subsidiaries, agencies, divisions and affiliates from liability, claims or actions or any kind for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property that may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or while preparing for, participating in or traveling to or from the Promotion or any Promotion or prize-related activity. Neither Sponsor nor its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies, divisions or related companies are responsible for any damages, taxes or expenses that winners might incur or inflict as a result of this Promotion or receipt of prize.
12. Collection of Information. If you opt to receive information from us, contact information collected in connection with the Promotion will be collected in accordance with Sponsor's privacy policy, available at http://products.sel.sony.com/SEL/legal/privacy.html.
13. Publicity. Acceptance of prizes offered constitutes permission to use winner's name, biographical information and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation as permitted by law by Sony Electronics Inc., Houston Astros Limited Partnership, MinuteMaid Stadium, Major League Baseball and its Member Teams, and/or each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising/promotion agencies.
14. Promotion Results. To request the name of the winner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Houston Astros Play with a Pro Challenge, Minutemaid Park, 501 Crawford, Houston, TX 7702, Attn: Corporate Partnerships. Requests for the winner list must be received by August 6, 2011.
15. Restrictions. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Contest will only occur at Sony Houston Galleria in Houston, TX.
