What comes with the PC Orientation and Customization Service?
- Basic set-up of your computer and connection to external devices.
- Connect to exisiting, or setting up a new broadband or dial-up account.
- 15 minute checklist driven orientation to your new computer.
What comes with the Wireless Network Installation Service?
- Setup and configure security for a new wireless router.
- Configure up to 2 PCs for wireless access.
- Enable file sharing and printer sharing between networked systems.
PC Installation Service does not include:
- Connecting new broadband (cable/DSL) service.
- Re-install or repairs to your system or other equipment.
- Removal of old computer from your home.
- Moving or rearranging furniture.
- Supplying operating system software, cables or other installation items (All services are labor only).
- Data migration services unless purchased.
Wireless Network Installation does not include:
- Installation of a new computer unless purchased.
- Installation of a wireless printer.
- Connection to any network behind a firewall (i.e. corporate network).
Customer Responsibilities Include:
- An adult (18 years or older) must be present during the entire service appointment.
- All equipment must be ready and located in the area where the service will take place.
- You must supply all hardware devices, components, peripherals, software (if applicable), and all required cabling.
- You must have all software drivers for peripherals (if applicable).
- You are responsible for providing power cords and surge protectors.
- While our technicians will clean up trash and packing materials and even place it in your trash can or at your curb, you are responsible for the final disposal of trash or storage of packing materials.
TV or Home Theater Installation Service Does NOT Include:
- Moving or adding electrical outlets or adding cable or satellite locations.
- Removal of old television or components from your home or office.
- Moving or rearranging furniture.
- Supplying brackets, cables or other installation items (All services are labor only).
Are there limitations to Wall Mounting Services?
- Electrical codes do not permit an AC power cord to be concealed in a wall.
- Wire concealment is through an attic, a crawl space, or vertically through walls only. Our technicians can not run wires horizontally through walls.
- A pre-existing AC power source must be accessible for wall mounting.
- Wires cannot be concealed in exterior walls, concrete or solid block walls.
- If wood studs are present and can be located, a TV can be mounted above a fireplace.
- Fireplace mounting with metal studs or off-center from wood studs require that the customer has a backboard pre-installed.
How do I set up an Installation Service Appointment?
Our scheduling representatives will contact you to schedule an appointment at your convenience. You may also call our scheduling representatives at 1-866-243-7022. to assist you with scheduling or changes to your appointment.
The day prior to your scheduled appointment, the installation technician will attempt to contact you to confirm that you have received your complete order and verify the appointment time.
Should you need to change your appointment, please call our scheduling representatives before 8 PM local time on the day prior to your scheduled appointment.
You must make your appointment within 30 days of receiving your products. Appointments must be scheduled for a date no later than 60 days after receiving your products.
What are the hours of operation for Installation?
For your convenience, all appointments for Television and Home Theater installations are scheduled for the technician to arrive within a four hour window, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, and Saturday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM local time.
Important: If a customer misses a scheduled appointment or if any items required for installation are not available at the time of the scheduled appointment, the customer will be charged a return trip fee to complete the service.
