Wearable 2D and 3D HDTV with 5.1 Surround Sound
not bad but could be better
I purchased with the intention of giving my wife a peaceful nights rest when I get home from work late at night the picture is equivalent to sitting in the middle of a movie theater with surround sound thats crystal clear but at the same time noise canceling with the rubber attachments it eliminates any light going out or going in so far so good right I think so but here is the down side it is fragile parts are loose HOWEVER the reasoning is due to it adjusts to your face eyes and ears but be careful with putting it on though if your gentle with it it will last ive had mine for a year and no problems I love it and the 3D is awesome when watching thor or avengers its mind blowing over all great but quality could be better but for the price its a steal

We purchased two of these to use with passive virtual reality experiences with pediatric populations. These have good picture and sound quality and provide near HD performance for filmed videos. The screens are bright and images clear. The price is good, but could be cheaper. Main concerns are the weight and comfort of these units for long viewing...too much weight in front of design. Second, they are built with some very flimsy parts on the headphones and the rubber blocks on the bottom of the goggles, please make these permanent and not something you attach; they constantly fall out. The headphones should be build into the hard plastic and not free floating with a small light plastic arm being the only thing holding them on. I think a three arm design would have been better with a molded plastic front and maybe a molded center piece that went OVER the head to distribute weight better and provide a solid location for the headphones. Then, have a three point joint in front to adjust for eyes and ear coverage. Finally, eliminate the set-up process every time the headset is put on. Allow users to simply put on and watch the unit. Good...but could be great with some tweaks!

I came across this product on eBay in January of this year. I purchased it in Feb. This product is almost perfect. No ghosting or flicker when replaying 3D content.
One thing the engineers at Sony did not consider was how uncomfortable the headset is when trying to incorporate a Bluetooth headset for online multiplayer gaming. Often time you have to move one headphone out of e way to accommodate a bt headset thus omitting stereophonic sound. It's something to think about if you're a hard core online gamer (especially since Sony markets and cross promotes this device with ps3)
I could knit pick but I won't. 800 is well worth the price of admission. It's one of those purchases you don't hesitate to make or regret afterwards being an early adopter or not.
Just integrate two way comms for multiplayer gaming and you will have a five star device.
