Translucent Mirror Technology DSLR
A little more complicated than I thought it would be. The lens does not zoom as far as the description made it seem.

Ok, so this camera is amazing, I have had the camera for more than 5 months! and nothing has changed since the day I bought it. When you buy it, I recommend that you get 2 lenses, one of them are obviously the 18-55mm and I also recommend getting the 75-300mm lens, because with a bigger lens you can take AMAZING pictures of flowers, water, and other small things that look great. Also I would get this camera because it is just like a normal point-and-shoot but BETTER!! I say that because Sony created the translucent mirror and you can record a video and your camera will auto-focus by ITSELF!!! You will not get that from ANY OTHER DSLR camera. Also this camera has more Mega-Pixels than a $6,000 Nikon or Canon DSLR Camera.
Now, why wouldn't you buy this camera?

LCD Issues and Poor Design For Remote Control
Finding some design flaws with this camera that I didn't uncover in my pre-purchase research. I shoot video and a need is to control the camera remotely. Problem is the remote sensor is on the front of the camera, which means I have to be in front to control it. But that conflicts with the LCD screen that is poorly designed because it flips down, not out to the side, so when you rotate the LCD to point forward (in front of the camera where I must be to remote control) then the LCD is below the camera behind my tripod which blocks the view. The LCD should flip out sideways, like Canon cameras do, so you can view it without the tripod in the way. Also, Canon cameras have the remove sensor on the LCD, which makes sense -- while viewing the LCD you can always control with remote by pointing to the LCD, and rotating the LCD lets you remote control from any direction you want. That would be superior the the A65 limitation of only having the remote sensor on the front.

This is my second 'semi' professional camera and I am very impressed. I have 4 yr old boys and since having this camera I have not missed great shot due to it rapid shutter speed. It can take up to 10 shots in a split second and with kids that is a must. I am an avid outdoor photographer as well and I haven't found anything I don't like about this camera yet.
You have to be patient with this one. If you don't know a lot about cameras you can still take awesome pictures and videos by using the auto settings. If you dig in deeper and use the more complex manual settings, you will not be disappointed.
