This is the worst computer I have ever owned. It is always lagging. Sometimes the touch pad doesn't work. It gets incredibly slow. I've set it to defragment and other performance settings to automatically happen yet they do not. Just awful.

Resolution is awesome. But that's about all. I keep getting messages like AMD processor not responding and has recovered. That freezes the screen and had to refresh to recover. Then there's the driver error message, needs to restart the computer to correct the error. Then after it goes to sleep, it doesn't want to wake up. Had to power off several times before I can get it back on. Makes me wonder is it really a brand new laptop. It's not working like a new one. The only reason I keep it is for the high resolution - hard to beat that. Ended up spending another $180 to buy extended warranty since I lost the confident that this laptop will last very long.

Good For the Price
To begin with, shipping was very fast for me. I placed the order the 14th of Feb and received it about less than a week later (my payment was accepted after delivery).
Windows 8: Personally, I believe that the main ones who have a problem with it are older users. Once I set everything up, it was not confusing to use at all. To simplify what it is, Windows 8 is an interactive Start Menu. Instead of clicking that start button and having to go through all those folders to find the program you want to use, it's just one click away for you. So I love it.
Laptop: Upon receiving it, I loved the feel, the color and how it was small but not too small where I had to strain my eyes to see the screen. I wish I was able to customize it because it would have made my year. I will say that it is not the most sturdy laptop and to take good care of it because one drop and you can kiss it goodbye.
I did have a few issues to begin with, the login screen would sometimes freeze up where I would have to restart it. As well as certain programs would close out and updates would take forever to install causing me to have to restart it over and over.
I contacted a customer service agent [for Microsoft] online and was told it may be my Kaspersky Software causing it to lag. Kaspersky was already installed in my laptop before I purchased it; I uninstalled and deleted it, then restarted my computer and it cleaned up my Vaio's act. I haven't had any more problems with it... YET.
Battery Life: In very few words, it lasts up to 5 hours if on power saver mode and minimal programs are opened at once.
I am very satisfied with this laptop!
