Rated 4 out of 5 by Zurar Clear sound, but underpowered bass
Ok, you may be wondering why I give it 4 stars when it's got "underpowered bass". First off, it's probably not fair for me to say that when my main system runs a Klipsch SW-350 sub-woofer which has taken things off the walls. Anyway, it does have decent bass for a system in its price range (considering the above sub alone cost 5x what I paid for this, if not more), it just shouldn't be expected to rattle the cabinets like a high-end sub-woofer would. The actual sound-bar itself, though, has some really good sound, and is quite clear!
My only other gripe is that the volume control seems rather slow. I sometimes have to hold the button down for a long time to get it to the level I want; though you could also look at this as having more control over the volume.
Overall, this system is great for gaming on my PS3/PS4 systems. But, if you need the explosions rattling cabinets and shaking things off walls, you're gonna have to spend a lot more money.

First purchase of a sound bar but pleasantly surprised. Do not have perfect hearing and missed some of the dialog in many movies. This unit picks up the base tones and missed dialog. Reasonably priced. Easily connected to my 48" Sony Bravia LED. Suggestion: purchase a Logitech smart remote. One button turns on and off the Dish receiver, TV and sound bar. Remote knows which buttons control which devices without pressing a "device" button. Also, no codes to find and train the remote. Everything downloadable to the remote via a USB cable. Slick. Note: This sound bar will not relay a blocked infrared signal to a device (usually the TV) behind the sound bar (some do). In my case, I raised the TV on some custom stands I made in my workshop and placed the sound bar underneath enabling the infrared remote signals to reach both devices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LORILOU SONY SOUNDBAR WAS A GREAT INVESTMENT
I WAS ORGINALLY GOING TO BUY A HOME THEATER SYSTEM BUT MY BROTHER SAID A SOUNDBAR WOULD SOUND GOOD IN MY LIVING ROOM. SINCE MY LIVING ROOM IS NOT THAT BIG A SOUNDBAR WOULD SOUND GREAT IF MY LIVING ROOM WAS HUGE THEN I SHOULD HAVE GONE WITH A HOME THEATER SYSTEM. I WOULD RECOMMEND THE SONY SOUNDBAR IT HAS A WONDERFUL SOUND.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Nody Check product in store?
Yes only if checked in store ! First purchase contained no remote. Returned to store for replacement. Brought home and found power cord would not fit completely into sound bar, but it worked! When time permits, might try to grind down plastic plug. Not going back to store during Xmas. Good sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dnow6 Best Sound for the Price!
I was looking for a soundbar system that was affordable, with Bluetooth connectivity and NFC, and that would be at least a modest improvement over my TV's built in speakers. I was thoroughly impressed by the sound quality, ease of use, and overall features of this speaker system. The Sound is clear at high or low volumes, is impressively loud, was a vast improvement over my TV's build in speakers, and works great whether I'm watching TV/movies, playing PS3, or listening to music. I highly recommend this soundbar to anyone who might be testing the waters or unsure about soundbars in general - I think you'll be thoroughly pleased and impressed by the quality and features at this price. Sony has produced an excellent, affordable product that far surpasses the competitions speaker systems in the same basic price-range!

Makes voices much clearer for TV viewing. Bass is much better when watching movies on DVD. Wish subwoofer was wireless.

I have always been a huge Sony guy. Of course, I like others, but for the price, the product seemed to good to be true...it was. I have had to return this product for the 3rd time. The first, which was brand new, just stopped working; the second, had a blown speaker and noticed that I got a refurbished product; the third, had distortion as well and was also refurbished. I am currently waiting on the fourth and this time I wrote down the serial numbers because I am sure that I will be getting a refurbished product as well. All I can say is that I would like to get a brand new product again. After all, I made the purchase for one and have had second hand...at least it seems that way. For what it is worth though, when I had the first set it was great and sounded great. To top it all off, I had to pay for the boxing of the product twice which cost $64. That's $64 extra that I could have spent on another brand or upgrade. Now, I feel like I lost and big corporate has won. Good thing is that I learned my lesson and kept the third box just in case. All I want is to have my money back on the boxing and a new product that will work and sound great. I'll say this in their favor...most of the people I've worked with are nice. You have to talk to 2 or 3 different departments to get what you need, but they are all relatively nice. I am not going I discount Sony because of all of this, but I'll have some hurt in my heart for a while.
