Navigation is easy and picture quality great. But the thing keeps breaking, and Sony is very unresponsive on tech support. Fortunately I got SquareTrade coverage through Amazon, and they have offered me a refund. Sony just gave me the runaround.
First one dead on arrival; second one started flashing 2 seconds of display, 2 seconds of black; Third one started flickering then wend dead completely. The third one was smaller and had no display, and no numbers on the remote for setting codes up.
Tech support obsessed about whether the cable was high enough quality, but it works fine on my PC. If their product is more picky than a standard video card, they should include a cable with the product. Brand new cable didn't help.
I don't know what "offered for presale" means. I've owned this product nearly a year but am not selling it.
I never tried the 3D capability and was unable to set up wifi

I bought this unit to replace a Panasonic unit that died after just 8 months of use. It had never worked correctly anyway, as it never did connect to the internet via WiFi to do software updates (which I didn't confirm until after I saw how well this Sony unit worked).
This Sony unit connected immediately (with positive feedback, so I knew I was connected) and worked great, right out of the gate. I now have at least 5 dozen sites available, and many are free.
The Blu-ray functionality has been flawless. Even playing some scratchy old DVD's without issue.
The unit has a small footprint. The remote is also smaller than most, which was a plus for me. My only negative comment would be that the pause button should be the same size as the play button and placed directly under the play. But that is very minor unless you have big paws. Overall, I give this unit a big thumbs up. Nice design, great functionality, WiFi compatible and easy to navigate.

I purchased the Sony Blue Ray Disc player (BDP S5200) in order to view internet content on my television. Entering information to access internet content is cumbersome and time consuming with the remote control. There is a screen mirroring feature that would make eliminate this problem, IF I could access it. The Wi Fi connection process to access screen mirroring asks for a password. I searched and entered any and every number on the box and instructions with no results. I contacted customer service, asking where I might find the password, or if they could provide one. Customer service told me the player was not compatible with any of my devices ( Apple ipad, iPhone, droid phone, and PC) I am disappointed to say the least.

The HDMI port on the Blu-ray player does not allow for a secure connection of the HDMI cable to the devise. The connection is not tight, and therefore, the signal is lost to the television set. The connection can be manipulated to get the signal to the TV, but the fix is not permanent.

I am disappointed this time's purchase. I had problem getting internet access with this DVD player. Wi-Fi connection shows ok but internet access shows 'failed'. I have contacted support three times and they are still trying to figure out the problem. One time they gave me the case number and said someone from the second level would call me back but never did. They reviewed the setting of the player and my modem and router and indicated problem most likely came from the player's software inside, which needs an upgrade.

I purchased this unit from "Best Buy" approximately two months ago and after very little use, less than 10 hours, the unit is broken and does not work properly. During playing the unit shuts down like it is over heating. I telephoned "Best Buy" and they basically told me they do not have a dime it it and to contact "Sony" directly. So much for customer service. DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT!

Overall works well but I've been having a issue with the unit turning on. For what ever reason some times the unit won't turn on by remove or button the the player. I have to unplug the unit and plug it back in which seems to reset it. This happens weekly. I need to take it back for a replacement but haven't had time yet.
The unit itself is good, I wish the remote had a keyboard it would make it more functional when surfing the web or typing in movies via netflix. I'm happy with the purchase but wish the unit didn't have the power issue.

Product would connect to WIFI one day and not the next and would lock-up and have to be unplugged. I returned this for a Samsung and have had no issues.
