Rated 5 out of 5 by Ricco44 Sony Watch Saves the day
So you would never believe what happen to me today. So while having lunch I lost my phone (Samsung Galaxy S4). I could not find it to save my life. So I am walking around the restaurant to look for my phone. I went back to the car to check and see if I left it there. NOPE!!! So I go back into the restaurant and my watch vibrates as to say my phone is close. So here where things get interesting, I decided to call myself. Un be known to the person that have my phone I can answer it from my watch and so I do just that. I put my phone on speaker and I hear the conversation at the table he is at. So I politely get up and ask the guy if I could speak with him away from his family. I told him I had lost my phone and I know you got it because I can hear the conversation we are having right now. And so he tell me OH yes I do I found it outside.. REALLY!!!! So I ask him why you didn’t turn it in. So when he pulls out my phone he could see the phone was on as well the speaker… I LOVE MY SONY WATCH…

Best thing about this watch is the screen never goes into full sleep so you'll be able to see the time 24/7, just like a regular watch. With that said, everything you'll expect from a connected watch is here. I know it doesn't have a camera, but if you think about it, it's wouldn't really worth having a 1.9 Mp camera and make this elegant watch heavier.
A nice little feature is that some of the notifications can be filtered. So you'll receive only important notifications from the ones you care about. Who would want their watch to vibrate on every tweet right?
There are about 200 apps on Google play for this watch. So even if you feel like something is missing, you might find it in play store. But mind that, some apps are ridiculously priced.
Overall, this smartwatch focuses on being a watch first. I don't have to push a button to see the time! Which is what I want on my wrist.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Berix Great upgrade compared to the previous watch
This watch is a large upgrade from the previous gen.
Main improvements compared to the old one:
-Non backlit watch display mode is great, easy to read in the sun and drains less battery. On the old watch you had to keep turning it on to read the time.
-Much, much easier navigation. The interface is way better and runs smoother than the old watch. It has a back/home/menu button on the bottom which feels quite familiar to android users. Navigation is easy, none of the two-tap nonsense from the old watch.
-Notifications are easy to read.
-Power button is easier to find than the old watch.
-Standard microusb charging port now.
The main con I have is that the watch is not as aesthetically pleasing as the old one. It looks like a big brick that has a watchband stuck on it. The other issue is that it's still decently expensive for what it is and you no longer get a black and white watchband included (black only). But I still find it very useful for messaging alerts, music control, phone locator, etc.
Pro-tip, download the Android app WatchIt and you can get notifications for any 3rd party apps like WhatsApp, Hangouts, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NicoleM Great To Own!!
Wanted to upgrade my previous Smart watch so I purchased the smart Watch 2. This model far exceeds its predecessor in countless ways. The time shows on all the time. Time is shown under low light when the Smart Watch 2 is not in use and brightens up when the watch is awakened for use.
I receive my texts, Facebook and Twitter feeds. So many APPS also available for download. My fave includes a running APP where I can start and stop my race on the watch and go to my phone to see my race time - pace - miles - calories - course map results.
The smart watch 2 is better than Samsung's smart watch because it has a sleeker more elegant design. I love the Smart swatch 2. No need to pull out my phone for texts, tweets, Facebook notifications, phone calls. When I am alerted that I have a phone call I can select to either answer or not answer the call. If I select to answer it gives me time to get to my phone and I can start speaking right away since the call is already there for me answered.
This is a must have to compliment Droid phones!!!!
I believe that it is also waterproof although I have not had any water on it to check if waterproof.
You will love this watch. Highly recommend over other smart watches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pablo82 I love my watch
I bought the watch 2 days ago and just received it today and haven't put it down yet. It has multiple faces and also shows the day and date, I also put about 20 apps on it and they all work without any issues. I can control my music, make phone calls, read messages and even take pictures with my phone all from the comfort of my wrist. I am using the watch with my Galaxy Note II and both devices are working together perfectly. I also purchsed the 2 year extended warranty to protect my investment, not a bad deal for $35 and it covers accidental drops and spills.
There is one thing that I don't like about the watch, the band seems to be of low quality. But Sony doesn't make watches so I got over it pretty quickly.
Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and would definitely recommend getting this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by deadlocked Missing features
I purchased the watch based on the preview on Mobile Asia Expo 2013, but it seems that Sony has silently removed features and the watch that I got is far from what they presented at the expo. There are missing watchfaces (time with date - it is clearly seen on the box that the watch came in), missing walkman widget... in fact, there are no more widgets!!! Why, oh why are features available on the previous Smart Watch (1) missing from the newer one? Also, and this is a deal-breaker for me, there is no shake-to-turn-on (clearly seen on the Expo video) and no way for apps to turn off backlight (the apps keep burning battery until you turn them off, hence, no third party watchfaces to make up for Sony's less that stellar collection). Many apps on the Google Play store are not updated for SW2 therefore they do not work as expected (they expect features that were removed and either crash or do not work as they advertise). I was temped to give it one star, but I gave it two because the few things that still work, work well.
I cannot add URLs for the video or my review might be removed, but search for "SW2 Mobile Asia Expo" on your favorite browser to find the link.

Rated 3 out of 5 by VideoJack Much better than the fist, but still flawed...
Well, until today I would have rated this a 5-star product. It does everything the first Smartwatch did, but better. The NFC pairing worked great, app installation was a breeze, and it did everything I expected it to and was easily read outside in the sun!
Unfortunately, the IP57 rating doesn't seem to be accurate. I got into the shower while wearing it, and yes, it got wet. I took it off and dried it off, and it seemed fine... but fast forward an hour and it is dead. Also, the cover for the USB charger is glued onto the actual plug, which came off meaning if you seal it, now it's practically impossible to open. I was very surprised to see the plug was not one piece, but a glued-on cover over the plug itself. I'll be taking mine back to a Sony Store to see if I can exchange it.
