amazing graphics and online gaming. pretty good web browser but it doesn't support flash or java on all pages pretty fast on loading from wifi haven't used 3g just personally don't like at&t or paaying to play it online thats why i go ps.
would recommend buying the starter kit and pdp trigger and grip as well.
at the moment their are a lack of games but all the one i have played are very fun and entertaining the inface is so userfriendly. the youtube app is great. big data base to access all those old psp games as well as access to online downloads of the vita games. Screen is kinda hard to view oudoors or when under direct sunlight even with the brightness all the way up. the sound is pretty loud but i usually have the inear vita phones in for that surround sound experience. great for listening to music watching movies on the go or chatting with friends on skype and facebook is goos too.
looking for a handled for you or someone i would highly recommend this one for anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Libra88 Simply Amazing. A Step up for Sony in my book.
The psVita, or *aka "PSV"* as I call it, is a cool piece of hardware. It is loaded with a lot of features that are all user friendly. The great thing about that is that each feature you access basically shows you how to use it, which makes it easy for those who play such a handheld for the first time. The graphics on the psVita is stunning. It blows away my psp; even though I still go back to it from time to time. Oh yeah, let's not forget the fact that the psVita is (dare I say) ridiculously sexy. It's totally sleek and really pleasing when you set your eyes on it. The controls are amazing, just like your holding on to the ps3 controller. You have the d-pad, two analogue sticks, and the iconic trangle, square, circle, and X buttons that are really easy to navigate through. Another great thing about it is the fact that there are no buttons that line along the bottom of the psVita unlike the psp (which for me is a plus). The volume buttons are on the top near the R trigger and the PS, Start, and Select buttons are embedded along the screen, so you don't have to worry about those buttons sticking out of the smooth face of the psVita.
Don't forget the screen protector and at least a cloth that's close to microfiber(believe me you'll need it). I find myself wiping down my psVita after every play session. Add a wrist strap to it as well. You'll never know when the dreadful moment comes and you see it fall out of your hands (*shivers*). Your paying for it, the least you could do is get the insurance of keeping it where it belongs, in your hands.
Overall, Get the darn thing!! It's just that cool to play. Let's just hope the games for psVita keep on coming. Happy gaming fellow gamers.

Rated 4 out of 5 Good-ish
I would like to warn anyone that is buying this package with the idea that it come with a game and one month of 3g for free. IT DOES NOT, YOU HAVE TO BUY ONE MONTH BEFORE YOU GET ANYTHING FOR "FREE". So if you only have 300 dollars and you think this will work for you your wrong.

I love my PS Vita, the games look great on the OLED screen and the great controls makes them play great too. I'm not too fond of the web browser though, it's not a huge deal since I have an S tablet for that but it would be nice if my 300+ gaming device could do the same. Also, not a huge deal right now but there aren't that many apps available for the device yet. All in all the hardware is exceptional but the software could be better.

This is great! I mean what can be better, a Portable gaming system that can connect to your PS3 and play from there? A 5" OLED touch screen, now that's awesome. front and back camera WOW!

Rated 3 out of 5 by NHUser Stunning Game Play
The game play is simply stunning. However with ever moment of genius for Sony products an equal part of stupidity is added. In Japan Sony released a UMD to Vita converter for users to continue using old PSP games, unfortunately Sony will not release the conversion software in the US. In addition the Vita uses very expensive proprietary memory cards, for no apparent reason. At the moment the only two reasons I won't buy the VITA is 1) no conversion software and 2) lack of games
