It's good
I think everyone should have this but, you know that feeling that you get when something looks so real that it's uncomfortable? Well, that's what it does, but you can get used to it. Also, the special glasses become pitch black when you turn them sideways. So you can't lay down and watch TV. I'd recommend that before you switch, you should put your current TV on high color depth. Just a little deeper in color every day. I like how you can play video games in your own screen so you don't have to use a split screen. Also, I really think the price for this doesn't match the TV. I think it should cost like, $5200 or even $4600. Because the price now is just unfair. I know they put a lot of work into this thing but, I just can;t get past the price. I suggest you get this TV when it's on sale or when they lower the price. I haven't bought it yet but, I have tried it. It does change the way things like cartoons look and that's a downer. Like Spongebob, Adventure Time, or Family Guy. The TV is too thin to have things like headphone jacks or any type of cords being connected to it, so it comes with little, short cords that you can connect to the TV and then you can connect other types of cords to them. Anyway, the TV is good but doesn't match the price.

First Class TV!
Picture quality of 4k mastered movies/videos is truly incredible - but upscaled HD is striking, too. Blu-ray 3D movies on this TV take you to a better world. But you're not limited to 3D movies. Put on the passive 3D glasses, hit the 3D button, and all HD is 3D. Miracast puts my Sony Vaio notebook on screen. It's 8 million+ pixels of Ultra HD happiness.

Amazing TV!
I just upgraded from the awesome XBR-65HX950 & let me tell you, I didn't think a picture could look better than that. WOW! I have to say I'm blown away by the up scaling from 1080p to 4K! I'm a gamer as well, the graphics, motion look even better on my Xbox 360 & PS3! The 3D is the best I have seen next to an Imax theater experience & no more charging the glasses. :) I also have a nice surround setup as well & the built in speakers give it a run for its money! To sum it up... I know the cost is a little high, but i know it was worth it & this is the future of high def. 4k is here to stay or at least in my living room it is. lol This TV is staying in my house for a long time! :D

We took the plunge
Day -3: was looking for a 1080p 70? and above TV. In the middle of the floor, a Samsung 75? 1080p 240Hz was on display, which looked great. But on the other side of the Samsung, stood the Sony 4K 65?, for the SAME price! My original plan was seriously disturbed, for the picture quality and depth belonged to a different world.
Day -2: hubby decided to go for the Sony 4K. My concern of lack of 4K content was mitigated by the TV?s ability to enhance the existing signals (x-reality processor). We took the plunge. What bothered me was that a 10GB/second HDMI cable is required, but was not included.
Day -1: patiently waiting for its arrival.
Day 0: it looked simply beautiful on the black stand against our black & gold oriental screen. And it looked much bigger in our family room than in the show room. A reporter?s caked-on makeup instantly became too obvious. So-called HD channels displayed a wide array of clarity on the screen: CNBC stunk (apparently cost-conscious as the ?money? station); CNN was quite good; the best was Show Time HD. We were mesmerized by the picture quality of ?Woman in Black? ? the three pieces of a dark suite were clearly distinct in the dark hunted castle. The details were intoxicating. HBO HD wasn't bad either. NBC sports HD seemed to stretch the picture a bit, which was annoying. Initially, we weren't impressed by the standard sound, but found it quite good for a flat panel TV after enhancing the lower frequencies. Wireless set up was easy. The iManual was very helpful. Many apps, but cannot access Netflix or Hulu+ (1 year free) without registering the TV.
Day 1: We had been very satisfied with the Samsung 33? 1080 in the kitchen?until today. The Sony 4K in the distance was so much clearer and richer in color and details ? and this was only the network (NBC) signal. I dream a dream of 4K network one day...
We've owned this TV for <24 hours, obviously lots yet to be experienced and figured out.
