When you connect the HBH-DS980 headset, you can listen to your favorite tunes without missing a call—the music automatically pauses when a call comes in. The remote control interface lets you control your music, as well as controlling the main call functions: answer/end, voice dial, last number redial and volume. Designed with a magic mirror finish, this stylish headset boasts an OLED indicator for battery strength, charging, Bluetooth® status, caller ID, phone book and TrackID™ so that you can leave your phone in your pocket while remaining in control. The powerful battery offers up to 6 hours of listening/talk time and 300 hours standby time.

Superior sound

Ergonomically designed ear buds isolate the sound to your ears, bringing excellent sound quality for both music and call handling. The HBH-DS980 is a digital headset with digital echo and noise cancellation. It also supports the latest wireless technology, Bluetooth® 2.0¹, which further improves the link to the mobile phone. Multipoint¹

Get access to the music files in your computer, PDA or other Bluetooth® - equipped devices, since the HBH-DS980 can be connected to two wireless devices simultaneously. When a call comes in the music mutes and you can choose to take or reject the call.

Wireless music and call handling

You can leave your phone in your pocket or bag and still enjoy music through the HBH-DS980. When a call comes in, the music mutes and you can use the answer/end key on the ear piece to take or reject the call and adjust the volume¹.

OLED Display

The HBHDS980 is designed with an exclusive magic mirror finish. Hidden within is an OLED display delivering a seamless design effect. Brighter than an LCD display the OLED display illuminates caller ID, battery strength, Bluetooth® status, access to your phone book and track information.

Nice Sound! This is a very nice unit that serves the needs of music gurus as well as heavy talkers. I use a cell-phone that has a large connecting piece to allow for connecting headphones, and it ends up being a little much to carry around. With this headset, my phone has nothing connecting directly to it, and sits in my pocket or glovebox nicely. The advanced features of this unit lets me control most aspects of my phone (easily making and receiving calls, as well as listening to music) without ever touching the phone itself. Sound quality is excellent and range is as good as any bluetooth device. I recommend this to any hard-core listeners, as well as those who appreciate handsfree convenience. January 23, 2009

Still Alive I bought this thing back in 2008, only use it occasionally, but it still kicks out the jams and has suffered no noticeable loss of battery life. I now have it connected to my Ipod touch and my Razr Maxx, and the music sounds great. Phone call quality is acceptable. The OLED display has a major cool factor. The neck string was a bit long, so I just tightened it up with a zip tie. And the earpieces are adjustable too. If this one dies soon, I'll definitely replace it with an identical model. Hopefully by then Sony will have changed the power supply to a universal Micro USB. Love it!! April 23, 2012

Check compatibility before purchasing I'd rate this set higher if it worked with the iPhone 4S or Apple's iOS 5 devices. It worked with iOS 4.x. The sound was great and it was the best stereo bluetooth headset on the market at the time. But I'm a bit annoyed that with an upgrade of my iPhone it no longer will sync. Please work with Apple to correct this issue! November 29, 2011

Wonderful headset!! I like the fact it hangs around the neck and the earbuds fit in ur ears. It has wonderful sound quality and the mic works well to talk. I have had mine for 2 years and wouldnt trade it for anything. March 29, 2011
