NWZ-S764 Walkman® MP3 player with Bluetooth®
I have connected this player to both of my home computers and continue to get the same error message " connected usb (mtp), the player cannot be operated". I have changed the settings over and over to accept the usb connection. Does anyone have any suggestions? This player is worthless if I cannot load music. I tried it with windows 7 and windows 98. same error message.

Fantastic Audio Quality
My primary use for this unit is as an MP3 player, so my rating is based heavily on meeting those expectations. The frequency response on this unit is fantastic. It picks up a great sound range with rich bass tones. I find the Bluetooth headphones to be well above my expectations--their sound is simply fantastic--not quite as good as the wired headphones, but pretty close. The sound is crisp and clear. The menus are easy to navigate and the options for each menu are explained well in the software user guide. Some of the options improve the performance of the unit above the factory default settings (DSEE and VPT specifically). The storage is adequate, as I have about 596 songs, 3 videos and 31 pictures loaded and I've only used half the allotted space. The video and photo capability are a nice bonus for me. The clarity of picture is fantastic for such a small screen. If you are in the market for an MP3 player and are considering this unit, I recommend it to you without hesitation.

Very good, but 2 issues with podcasts
I got this as a replacement for an ipod and for listening to lots of podcasts.
Pros: Very nice design, and it's got buttons that are easy to operate. Battery life excellent, bluetooth works well, sound quality far better than an ipod nano. In short, I concur with all the reviews here.
Media Go software is nice looking and does everything I need. I set up a "view" that sorts new podcasts by newest date added and just click and transfer them- it's heaps better than itunes for updating podcasts.
Cons: Issues with podcasts on the player itself
1.SONY: If you accidentally bump the forward button whilst 1 hour into a podcast it is tedious to get back to the same spot. A skip forward 5 minutes option would be brilliant. Or, Sony, please look at the way you can pause and rapidly fast forward through a 2 hour track on an ipod.
2. Sony, please reduce the steps to delete podcasts. It is much nicer just to click "option" "delete" than the 4-5 steps currently. It doesn't matter if a user accidentally deletes a podcast because they can just transfer it again later.
I'm a very picky person with my music players... if Sony fixed up these two minor issues I'd say this is the best player I've ever had for podcasts beating the ipod nano 5th Gen, the Ipod Touch 4th Gen and the Zune HD.
