Rated 5 out of 5 by Eddie444 Best Walkman Yet
Unlike my previous Walkman this new one really fills my expectations. It offers access to SensMe and Music Unlimited two of my favorite services from SONY. Audio is fantastic far better than any iPod or Zune could ever offer and I have owned all types of Zunes and iPods.
The Walkmans offer an amazing music experience which is exactly what an mp3 player should be doing. Unfortunately Apple and their iPods are only so famous because of the access to different forms of media. That is good but I do not need an mp3 player for that. The SONY Walkmans are perfect for music fans such as myself because of the support it has. Shame SONY does not have their own music store.
I just wish this model brought the 32GB and 64GB models like Japan has. 16GB is good but eventually it will run out. I just hope SONY continues to suport the A model even after the Z model comes out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jim23 Best Walkman manufactured to date!
I have been a fan of Sony MP3 Walkman's since the first 2GB models came out. The new A series has amazing sound quality that blows away all the other mp3 players in its segment. It also has Bluetooth capability which means you can send and receive files to your phone or other Bluetooth enabled device. It feels so right in your hand, and the touch screen is what truly makes it perfect as finding spots in long music files is now much easier than before. The only drawback is probably the battery life, I extensively used the file transfer to move about half a GB of sets and images and had the display at full brightness. This, combined with about four hours of playing songs, took half the battery. I would love to see more accessories for this model including an armband for jogging!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SonyFanboy LONG LIVE THE SONY WALKMAN!!!
I have been using Sony Walkman's since the first unit came out in 1979. I have owned dozens of the Walkman brands from the first cassette Walkman to the first digital Walkman and this unit is by far the best WALKMAN they have ever made. The Touch screen is far better than the iPod or any touch screen for that matter, icon layout and just easy to use. The screen is colorful and perfect size but not for movies but who will watch a movie on this thing? Loading picture and music is so easy with the Media Go software and creating playlist right on the player it perfect, you can even bookmark your favorite tracks. So many cool features built into this thing it's worth every dollar you pay. MAY THE WALKMAN LIVE FOREVER!! GO SONY!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Deablosf Haven't taken them off
At first I was a little put off by it's shorter life span (compared to my old NWZ-S545) but it wasn't the problem I thought it would be. It still lasts long then most new mp3 players on the market. The thought I would have problems with the touch screen (big hands) but it's more accurate then expected. Audio, video, pictures, radio all are fantastic. Favorite part though is the side buttons, so I don't have to always mess with the touch screen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KRATOSSTYLEZ Kingz of SOUND !!!!
Ipod and Zune need to bow down to the masters of SOUND. I got mine and it totally ROCKED !!!! I was 100% blown away by the life like sound !!! Im using my Dr. Dre Beats PRO and I don't even need an alternate headphone amp to power these headphones, this A-Series Walkman brings them to life without a headphone amp. Great job SONY. Now if you can include an In-Line Backlit Remote like the portable MiniDisc Players it would be perfect device from a function stand point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by XXXXXXX It can be better
It really better than A840!No background noise i hope you can do better on UI.
1.the battery life is short. why not set a key to turn off the screen?I suggest set 5 seconds screen off timer after HOLD. because people turn hold when they want to enjoy music.
2.I don't know why some of cover can't display on A865 but it's on Media Go and other software. i add it by iTunes
3. I'm Chinese. i have lot of chinese song. but they don't arrange in order by pingyin Please learn something from iOS! Apple do better on language support!
