After much research I decided on the Sony C series. Compared to my old laptop, it's a world of difference. The reviewer who claimed this laptop is cheaply built obviously hasn't had enough hassle from bigger manufacturers like Dell or HP. In terms of plastic casing it is much better built than comparable models, trust me there's a difference between Dell plastic and Sony plastic! I wouldn't suggest dropping it off a table but it seems like it can hold up in the future. The webcam is ok, same goes for laptop speakers, both are better than what I've experienced in other computers. Trackpad takes some getting used to, but with other laptops the trackpad wears down quickly so this may be the logic behind a textured surface. Very easy to set up and overall a wonderful purchase! Free express shipping was a huge bonus! I don't know about the other colors, but the blue is fairly subtle compared to the picture, almost a darker opal quality to it. Very awesome product!

Works good. Can't see any problems!
Thanks a lot to Slimware Utilities & Sony, cause I won it on a free laptop contest by Slimware Utilities.

beautyfull, powerfull and very gentle
Overall: great technology in a very, very gentle case.
Great desktop replacement but not very sturdy to cary around with you.
I upgraded my original config to WD 500Gb 7200rpm and 8Gb Kingston HyperX mem.
It's very fast thanks to new sandy bridge technology, not as fast as desktop version but it gives you good speedy feeling.
I had a chance to compare hard drives and my results are: Must go with 7200rpm hard drive! 5400 is way to slow.
I LOVE full hd display, best I have seen on any laptops in 12 years I used them, great sharpness and backlit, no major reflections that I noticed. It's best part of this computer
It's a good comp for everyday use whitch in my case involves lots of internet, bd movies, pictures and video archive with basic processing and skype.
Downsides are: horrible buitin webcam! It feel like cheapest sensor you can find in the market. Picture is color less and very grainy. Don't count on getting rid of your usb webcam. My $30 logitech makes all the difference!
I don't know what it is but my track pad seams to have life of it own sometimes (often sometimes): it stops working, it does thing like rotating my pdf's or zooming in or out by itself (most often on google earth). It's very iritating.
Entire computer has a very fragille feeling. When I close the lid I use both hands and close it holding both sides otherwise I'm afraid screen will brake in half. Whole case is plastic and starts to make scratch noises when you'll put your hands on it.
After my 18month son pushed it off one foot tall coffe table on the carpet floor case just caved in on one corner. I was shocked how much visual damage it did! Luckly I was able to pop plastic parts back to where they belong.
Today I noticed that plastic part broke off out of one usb port making it unusable. That made me thinking about long term relibility of this comp. I had my previous comps (not Sony) for 10 and 5 years and I doubt this one will make it that long.

Avoid at all Costs
The AMD 6630M installed on many CAs and CBs has serious issues with any program that utilizes OpenGL. This includes MANY programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Maya, Google Sketchup, Brink (Video game), and many, many more.
Sony has said they will fix this, but that was MONTHs ago. Please avoid this product unless they provide a proper fix for this egregious issue.
