So far Excellent
I had a vaio many years ago and thought for the money they went out of date too quickly. For years I went with HP until they really messed up my custom built laptop and had poor customer service. Six months ago I changed all that by buying a i5 because I heard the great things that were being said about the company. From day one it had fatal crashes, with trips to the geek squad it still is happening so here I am spending my hard earned money on another computer. I refuse to spend so much on an apple when it comes to laptops as they break like any other laptop and are now not as up to date as other companies, such as this one. As I type this I notice the keyboard is not a quiet but I also have a skin on it (which I strongly suggest as another poster posted.
I work on computers all day long with many different applications so I know my way around a computer and for what I am seeing and getting, as fast as it is and so easy to navigate coupled with the touch screen (which I thought I would not use as much but now know it will be incorporated more and more into my computer enjoyment) it cant be beat. Oh I checked out the webcam and speakers quickly so I can write on those as well and both are great on this laptop. Graphics can't be beat. If you are budget conscience or like me, simply tired of paying for a computer that will either be outdated soon or making big sacrifices for one part just to get another I strongly suggest this laptop. In about 3 months I will update.
Thank you Sony for stepping up your game, I will certainly recommend this laptop and couldn't be more pleased. Beside my 10 key I did not give up a thing that I wanted from a laptop and even gained a few extra, especially for the money
Also, I ordered on Saturday morning, wee hours, it arrived Tuesday. One more thing, the pictures made it look to me it may be a bit bulky but it is sleeker than I thought it was going to be, not an ultra thin but a nice size and I didn't have to part with my DVD player.

I liked each and every feature in this laptop except the web cam. Web cam clarity is not so good..., it needs a completely lit environment to function normally, but this was not the case in my old Dell Inspiron 15R...
Otherwise this is an excellent laptop, with higher end configuration which makes me compromise in the matter of Web Cam....
Thus I do recommend this product....

I love everything about this laptop, I wanted a laptop with every capability that had a touchscreen, I checked all other brands but they either didn't have cd slot or no back lit keyboard. I believe this is the only touch screen laptop that has a backlit keyboard and a CD slot. The 1600 * 900 resolution is very good, The resolution on my envy touchsmart 4t sucked. This laptop is just the best laptop for budget friendly people. I compared this to the MacBook pro 13 inch and it had the exact specs, It even beat that with screen resolution and USB 3.0. Battery life is good too with roughly 5 hours. If you are looking for a windows 8 laptop(not ultrabook) with great performance, premium specs and a touchscreen this is a GREAT buy.

Great laptop from a great brand
I researched Windows 8 touchscreen laptops before the operating system was released, and this is by and large the best within my college budget. Sony gave me great service, and by ordering over the phone, I recieved a FREE 500GB external hard drive and a university student discount of 10%. When I received my laptop, everything was better than what I had expected--it's perfect for running photoshop (how awesome with a touchscreen!), visual studio, and any other programs had that slowed down my older Dell. I strongly recommend the keyboard skin accessory that you can purchase to go with the computer; if you buy any that are translucent between keys, you can still use the awesome backlit keyboard. The touchscreen makes MS Office 2010 OneNote incredibly useful--you can type from your keyboard and draw graphs or figures straight onto your screen--sweet.
