The camera WX300 fits in my shrit pocket and takes a very steady picture.
The picture quality is better than an iphone. The movies are better than my camcorder. Easy to Wi Fi down load to the computer. Plays great from a Sony blue ray dvd player to a Sony Bravia televison. The charging port / computer port on the camer is smaller than my other Sony cameras.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Desertdoc Best small camera ever purchases
The best resolution for distant zoom pictures with low light capability.
Easy operation. the Wi-Fi is great to transfer pictures to smartphone or tablets then send by text messages, email, and Facebook.
Never leave home without this super handy high performance camera.
A lot easier to carry than my Sony Alpha cameras

The Sony DSCWX300 Camera is the worst camera I have ever owned. I had it for less than 3 months and it started to malfuinction...the camera could not take photos. I called Sony and they would not refund my money...it's less than 3 months old!!! I have used Sony's for a long time and never had a problem...I guess the quality has really dropped!!! Again, I will never buy a Sony again and I would not advise anyone to buy this model !!

The camera looked like it would be something I'd really enjoy with it's long zoom range and small size. I really like my NEX camera, so I thought this would be a nice pocket camera. BUT, I found two things wrong with the camera. #1, it seems to have a slow processing time. #2, there's no way to turn off the "Auto Preview" after each picture. The second issue is much more important that the first. I can't believe Sony would leave that function out! Oh well, it's getting returned today.

Rated 5 out of 5 by brjoce Great point/shoot for novices
This camera is great, it's portable, fairly fast, and with great images using auto; this is the camera for people who just don't want to think about the image (that's what a Nex or dSLR are for), they just want a good image. The wifi feature, connected to your phone for remote pics, is a great feature. My wife didn't think she would care about that feature, turns out it's her favorite feature. The zoom is great for distance images, and the quality of the images is quite nice, with great color and resolution. The only knock on the camera, is the overall speed of the camera; the camera doesn't process images as fast as she would like, but this is a minor complaint on an otherwise great camera.

Bought the WX-300 for an upcoming Stones concert. Because cameras are a no-no at this venue and because I'm anticipating being a good 20-30 yards away from the stage I wanted a camera that is easily concealed, had a strong zoom lens and could take quality photos in a low-light environment. The WX hit the mark on all three requirements and more. The day I brought it home I pulled up the user manual on Sony's website www.sony.com and pulled the camera out of it's box. I was immediately impressed by the attention to detail as well as what felt like the perfect weight of a camera in my hand. I installed the battery which had been pre-charged, turned it on and started snapping pictures of random items around my home. The resulting photos were nothing short of amazing. Even without reading a single instruction I found that the WX was extraordinarily intuitive and the "Superior Auto" setting was everything that Sony promised. Over the past few days I've done my best to take pictures in every conceivable lighting situation both close up and using the 20X(40X digital) zoom. The results are truly amazing. I probably over researched this purchase looking at the best brand names and reputations and kept coming back to the WX300. I couldn't be happier and sincerely believe that this camera is the best of its type regardless of price. Thank you Sony, you've done it again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Remzy Love my very hi tech camera & it's so small & easy
This is a great camera and price point if want something that is very capable with an array of features that's relatively easy to use even for an ol foagy like me. I love how small it is, fits rite in front pocket of pants has amazing zoom. I love that it's so small yet does so much. I rated it at 5 stars however the 1 drawback or thing that could b improved is that outside on sunny days it can b difficult to view LCD screen. There is no view port only the LCD. There may b an adjustment for brightness on the camera actually I'm sure Sony has put that on this great cam but I'm brand new to it and havnt found that setting yet not have I read entire manual yet. But ya I love this cam it does everything I want plus more things I can't wait to learn how to use. Basic operation rite out of the box is very simple with no reading at all u can start rite out and take pics and vids and has self explanatory directions that pop up on screen for each setting. No problems with it so far and I'm glad I chose it and would buy it again for sure. It does things that other cams 10 times it size does. Who wants to drag around some large SLR cam on vacation when u can have all this rite in your pocket or carrying case u can strap on. Love it and the trusted Sony brand. Wow did u really read all that?

Rated 4 out of 5 by vacationer Lots of features
I've had this camera for a month now. The number of features is a bit overwhelming, but hopefully they will be useful once I learn them. The only big problem is that in humid conditions, the lens fogs, and not just the outside like I'm used to. The inside lenses fog also. I had to wait 10 minutes for it to clear up, so I totally miss shots! The site suggested turning it off for an hour if it happens! If I have my camera out now, it's because I see something I want to capture now, not in an hour or even 10 minutes!!
