I don't like wearing ear buds when working out because they fall out so, I purchased these instead and yes, I do like the design. However, as other people have stated, "DO NOT SWEAT BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT WATERPROOF." Once wet the sound will die out and your stuck with no music to listen too!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lampski Making me rethink my morning workouts
I should have read the reviews. As soon as I start to sweat the volume and bass disappear entirely! No to mention the bud part falls out of my ear and I have not been able to adjust them so that they stay put. I spend my hour workout fighting with these ear buds!!!
The jack is another problem entirely! It does not fit snuggly into any outlet so that when I can actually hear whats coming out of the headphones it only transmits to one side or the other. It falls out of the treadmill and elliptical I use that have TVs you can watch mounted on top.
I am so upset with these headphones and they are ruining my morning workouts. I am not longer focused on what I"m doing and can't enjoy my carefully selected playlists that pump me up. I have already purchased a new pair...not from SONY.

Rated 1 out of 5 by running2fl Don't sweat and use these
Bought these as they are marketed as sport headphones for my workout.
likes: They don't fall out
dislikes: During my run I sweat and this unfortunately stops the sound. Once the headphones dry up they work again.
Of course that defeats the entire purpose of these units. I've tried not to sweat but was unsuccessful. I do apologize.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Schnietzi The best sport headphones on the market!
Sometimes we have to do without in order to appreciate something.
I misplaced my Sony headphones and ended buying two pairs (different brands) - not because I didn't like the Sony ones, but just to see how the others compared to mine. Words can't describe how unhappy I was with both of them - even though they were more expensive ($30 and $50, respectively). Fortunately, I found my Sony headphones and now I am in heaven again. There is just no comparison to the other two in terms of comfort and sound (not to mention affordability). I will NEVER buy another kind - these are truly the best headphones for athletes like myself.

If you intend to use this headphone for sports practice, you must not sweat, otherwise the sound dies.

Rated 2 out of 5 by fattyZ not a good product
I needed something to wear jogging you know? My $40 skull candy buds fall out so I decided to try these, forget it. My solution? I found a pair of old earbuds around from Walmart that cost 9.99 and I can shove them all the way in my ears and go all 5 miles without touching them. You don't always get what you pay for.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bdavid The sport headphone Sony never took outside
I would be embarrassed to put the brand name Sony on these active sport headphones if i owned the company. I bought them from a Sony store in New Zealand and was so frustrated by them that i'm writing this to tell everyone that you're wasting your time, buy a different type.
1) A poor fit. I have had 3 people wear them and all say that the buds sit in an inefficient position i.e you can't get full sound from them.
2) Don't run for more than it takes to get a sweat on. The second sweat enters into your ear forget that you're wearing headphones because they lose 95% of their volume.
3) They take the fun out of music while exercising. I have had a number of different sport headphones over the years and while listening to these you don't get the feeling of good sound. it's hard to explain....
4) I thought headphones had i sprinkle of bass?
Overall: Not really thought out and i'm almost certain that these 'active sport' headphones were never actually tested outside.
