Cyber-shot ® Digital Still Camera
The last digital camera I purchased was in fall of 2005. I used that Kodak for many years, but was disappointed at how quickly the AAs would run out, and how simple the software was at editing. I wanted to buy a new digital camera and so started reading many reviews. I looked at the w370 and w330 but noticed many negative aspects- this w350 seemed to be the midgrade and I got an excellent deal on the price and extra memory chip. So far I have been very impressed with the overall quality of the images and clarity the extra megapixels provides (my old camera was 5.1 mp, this one is a whopping 14mp). I am going on vacation to Cancun next month and am looking forward to seeing how the images will turn. It definitely helps that the camera itself is so lightweight and tiny. It's perfect for stashing someplace inconspicuous and fits in my husband's pockets easily. Great investment. Cannot comment on the reliability so far since it's new, but am very positive!

I bought this camera less than a year ago, never dropped it or did anything to it, yet the bottom doesn't latch tight enough to read the memory card unless I push it in. Also, my USB cord that came with the camera was stolen, about a month ago, and this website doesn't offer a replacement, and it's been awful trying to find one that fits (I've already ordered and returned two...). So as long as you don't lose pieces, maybe you'll be happy with it!

This camera is awesome. I got it two weeks ago, on sale at a very good price. I noticed the reviews before mine comment on the short battery life. This was not the case for me. I took this camera on my trip to cuba and the battery lasted for the whole trip (which was a week) . When i came home the battery wasn't even close to being dead. I didn't even need to pack the charger. The pictures are so clear even the panorama pictures are awesome. The size is very small and it is very easy to use. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone.

I have owned more cameras than most people I know. I use Canon (5dmk2 and 7d) for my professional work, but I bought the W350 to put in my pocket to capture my kids and those creative moments that come along every day. This is by far the best $200 camera I’ve ever experienced. Usually I try to be understanding of shortcomings when the price is this low (what you get is what you pay for) but I must say I am very impressed with the W350. I bought this camera over the other brands because of the Zeiss lens which I have had great experiences with.
The noise levels are acceptable for a camera of this price and are much better than the small Canon Elph line. The macro is superb in both video and photo mode. I attribute this to the Zeiss lens but I am curious about the new Sony lenses. Hopefully they are comparable because I am now seriously considering a NEX-5.
My only complaint is the video mode requires you to stop completely still for about 3 seconds to regain auto focus. The battery life is a little less than I expected and it would have been nice to play the video direct form camera to HDTV via HDMI.
Bottom line: If you’re looking for a versatile, compact camera and are tied to another brand but have any reservations - give this one a try. I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
