I bought the camera a month ago and I'm very surprised of the quality of made and the picture that this camera gives for the price that it was sold and the size that has. I wasn't sure if buy the F3 or E-PL3 of Olympus, but I finally decided to be the Sony, becouse the features were greater and becouse I'm a fan of the brand.

Just like it says: this little camera is professional in every way, and Superior Auto mode will have you shooting high quality, pro shots in every mood, scene and lighting - right out of the box. The RAW format (option) allows getting the highest quality from every photo - and it's easy to transfer to PC, where it can be improved with the included Software, or with Photoshop. In a word or two: Awesome and Professional!

Before, I would use disposable cameras or my BlackBerry and would take horrible pictures of amazing things. I was always disappointed because it never would look as good in the picture, so last summer I broke down and decided to invest in a good camera. I didn't really have any experience using all of the settings, but I thought this camera was quite easy to use right out of the box.
I would have appreciated it if the owners manual gave an explanation on each of the settings and how to use them best.
The other complaint I have is the lens hood blocks part of the flash. When taking a photo with the built-in flash there will be a large shadow in the bottom left side of the image, unless I remove it or place it backward on the lens.
My last is more of a recommendation. I think the built in flash should be able to lock at multiple angels. This way if the user is trying to bounce the light off the ceiling he/she doesn't have to hold the flash at that angle.
Overall, I've been quite pleased with the product.

I wanted to upgrade from my old point and shoot and purchased this camera a few months ago. I have not been disappointed! The quality of the pictures is terrific. Took some family portraits that were just as good as some we got with a professional a few years ago. Battery life is terrific. Low light performance is great--rarely need the flash. Video looks great too. Other reviewers said they couldn't see the LCD screen in sunlight--I wonder if they turned on the sunlight mode in the menu. When I do that I can see the screen fine in daylight. Having to charge the battery in the camera can be annoying. Wish video did 1080p, but video still looks great and very smooth. Easy to carry around. Much smaller than all my friends' DSLR's, but the pictures are just as good if not better! Very happy with this camera!
