Rated 5 out of 5 by RexInFX Great Head Unit
I put this unit in my 4 door F350. I have infinity kappa highs on one amp and a 12 inch sub on another amp. I really like the 7 band equalizer, it's so much better than just having bass and treble. My speakers were a little harsh so I lowered the 6.3khz frequency. I like deep bass so I raised the 63Hz frequency 2 decibels. Pretty awesome. There are high and low pass filters from 50-120Hz, too. If you have decent speakers, they shouldn't need a lot of adjustment to sound good. This unit makes it possible to fine tune the sound, but you won't find any super duper bass boost junk. You get +-6dB on each band and a "loud" (on or off). That's it as far as major sound adjustment. There are no parametric equalizers, but it does the job. I'd recommend it if you have aftermarket speakers and a sub. It only has 2 pre-outs so make sure you take that into account. Bluetooth works well with my Galaxy S4.

The am and fm reception were not very good. Took unit back to installer who replaced antenna adapter and ground the radio better. This did improve reception some but stock radio was better. However, all the other features were very good.

Rated 3 out of 5 by grnerd I wanted very much to like this stereo...
It seemed like a perfect fit for my audio needs. I ordered it through Crutchfield, and they do a very nice job of suggesting wiring harnesses, etc., so installation was a breeze.
I was able to pair it with my Samsung Galaxy S4, and the bluetooth audio worked like a charm, streaming podcasts, Pandora, and everything else I tried to stream from my phone.
I started to use the BT Phone portion, and despite trying all three echo cancellation settings, people that I called all heard themselves echoing on their end. That was a bummer.
The Sony App Remote for the phone has potential, but it does not list BT Audio as a source option, so you can only swap between the tuner, phone, cd, aux, and google music.. In order to stream from any other source on your phone, you have to push the source button on the head unit (and BT Audio is about the 5th choice, after several that I will never use).
Any voice commands I tried to use did not seem to use the microphone that comes with the stereo, but I would have to shout at the phone itself, hoping it would hear and understand my intent.
My other gripes are more likely due to my not finding the right applications for my phone, but all in all, for a Handsfree solution, I find myself pressing a lot of buttons to get things to work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by TAO6973 Can't manually control Bass/Treble-Front/back fade
I have a '89 Mustang 5.0 I purchased this for. My vehicle is a convertible, with 4 speakers all up front. 2 in the door and two on the dash. The dash ones are 3 inch tweeters, the door ones are 6 inch. Adjusting the bass and treble is not user friendly along with the front /back fade. The latter is a pre-set program that gives the listener very little control of how they like to hear their music. I have gone over the owners manual over and over trying to get it set properly so all I can hear are the High trebles and little to no bass. Very aggravating. I am going to give it one more chance before I trash it and buy something else.
