I've had this great little radio alarm clock for about two weeks now and I am happily satisfied with it in every way. This Sony product replaced an inferior product and I was amazed at the clarity of the radio reception. I was looking for digital precision on locking onto the stations and that is exactly what I got. Setting the alarm is not intuitive but certainly easy enough to master after a few times. I saw a comment on another review complaining about the projection function of this clock turning itself off after 18 hours. I don't find this an issue at all as I turn it off each morning. Why would you want to leave it on all the time? The projection on the ceiling is bright and crystal clear. The footprint of this clock is very minimal and takes up little room on the nightstand. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LD100 It's pretty
It's pretty, it's small, it's a clock radio. I can see it from across the room, the alarm goes off at the time it's set for, and it displays the time on the ceiling.
That brings us to the first caution: the projector automatically shuts off after 16 hours. Your guess is as good as mine why?
Second caution is the batter backup is a CR2032 rather than an easily available 9 volt or AA.
Last caution is the speaker is 4 cm or 1 5/8 inches in diameter, so don't expect to use this as your main music source.
If these cautions don't bother you...they don't bother me...then it's a great little clock radio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KatieT I love this product
I love this radio so much I make people come into my bedroom to look at it (with no ulterior motives :-)).
I LOVE the projected time, since I tend to wake up at night and I used to wake myself up more by rolling around to see what time it was. Now, I glance up, say to myself, "Shoot, 3am" and go back to sleep. I also love that you can dim the time on the clock itself down to nothing, because that blue light bothers my eyes at night. I love that there are two alarms, so I have my weekday alarm and my weekend alarm. Several settings for radio, and IT HAS A SOUND MACHINE! This is thrilling to me because living in NYC, I need a sound machine, and I now don't need a separate unit on my shelf. Only downside: AM stations do not come in at all. That should make it four stars instead of 5, but I love it so much otherwise, that I signed up on Sony just to write this review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nobodycares Clever. Does the job. Fine value for the price.
The projector function displaying the time on a wall or ceiling is a useful gimmick. We like the digital radio tuner. Programming isn't difficult. Sound quality is better than that company that refuses to use tweeters in its speakers with the NFL contract.
Its compact, space efficient size helps on our cluttered dresser.
Smartphone charger port is clever.
In a perfect world there would a clock radio stereo receiver to enlist proper speakers in the wake-up task. That's why I don't give five stars.
Rear-facing single speaker isn't a five star set-up to me.

Overall, this may be the best alarm clock I have ever owned. It is sheik, and functions well.
The projector is a nice plus, although I do not use it really, as the large lighted numbers on the wall/ceiling can be annoying. Nice though, if a person did not wish to have to turn his/her head to look at the time.
I like that you can increase or decrease the intensity of the light on the clock itself.
I do not use the nature sounds. although it is a nice feature.
I like that you can set the alarm for all of the weekdays; you can choose to set the clock for M-F (weekdays) or S-S (weekend); therefore, if you set is only for weekdays, you do not have to turn the clock off at the weekend; you do not have to remember to turn it back on, Sunday night.
However, that is the down side too. I just started working Tue through Friday (4 ten hour days rather than 5 eight hour days).
You cannot program the clock to just go off on certain days, you get M-F and S-S choices only. This doesn't work in this day & age, when so many of us work 4 tens now. So, now I have to turn the clock off on Sunday night, so I can sleep in on Monday, since I do not work on Mondays, and I have to remember to reset it on Monday night :( That is the only negative I can say about the clock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Philippe Nice and functional
This device looks great. I thought the projection would be useless but it turns out to be handy as we can both read the time and turn off the main display so there is no extra light in the room from the alarm clock as we used to have with our previous one.
The only thing I find annoying is how the alarm gets setup, it is not so intuitive what button to press but that's a minor issue as we learn over time.

This is a nice alarm clock, It's instructions are not the E-Z(ish) to follow and for that reason only I have tried all the features.
It has a pretty small footprint ,it may have a 5 inch X 5 inch foot print. The feature of projection( this can also be turned off to) of the time on either the wall or ceiling is very cool. This model has a manual focus really comes in handy for this feature. you can wake up you nature sounds, IE; birds, waves, rain, etc etc or buzzer or radio very cool. For something so small it has BIG sound the radio sounds great.
Also it has a UBS slot on the side so you can charge what every you need too. clock image of the time has three settings from super bright to hardly able to see to OFF. it's another nice feature because any bright night bugs my wife.
That about it for now I JUST WOKE UP
I would buy this product again.
I hope this helps some one
