I've had this great little radio alarm clock for about two weeks now and I am happily satisfied with it in every way. This Sony product replaced an inferior product and I was amazed at the clarity of the radio reception. I was looking for digital precision on locking onto the stations and that is exactly what I got. Setting the alarm is not intuitive but certainly easy enough to master after a few times. I saw a comment on another review complaining about the projection function of this clock turning itself off after 18 hours. I don't find this an issue at all as I turn it off each morning. Why would you want to leave it on all the time? The projection on the ceiling is bright and crystal clear. The footprint of this clock is very minimal and takes up little room on the nightstand. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KatieT I love this product
I love this radio so much I make people come into my bedroom to look at it (with no ulterior motives :-)).
I LOVE the projected time, since I tend to wake up at night and I used to wake myself up more by rolling around to see what time it was. Now, I glance up, say to myself, "Shoot, 3am" and go back to sleep. I also love that you can dim the time on the clock itself down to nothing, because that blue light bothers my eyes at night. I love that there are two alarms, so I have my weekday alarm and my weekend alarm. Several settings for radio, and IT HAS A SOUND MACHINE! This is thrilling to me because living in NYC, I need a sound machine, and I now don't need a separate unit on my shelf. Only downside: AM stations do not come in at all. That should make it four stars instead of 5, but I love it so much otherwise, that I signed up on Sony just to write this review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LD100 It's pretty
It's pretty, it's small, it's a clock radio. I can see it from across the room, the alarm goes off at the time it's set for, and it displays the time on the ceiling.
That brings us to the first caution: the projector automatically shuts off after 16 hours. Your guess is as good as mine why?
Second caution is the batter backup is a CR2032 rather than an easily available 9 volt or AA.
Last caution is the speaker is 4 cm or 1 5/8 inches in diameter, so don't expect to use this as your main music source.
If these cautions don't bother you...they don't bother me...then it's a great little clock radio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PKG1 Extremely Versatile Functions
This purchase was made because of studies telling us not to bring our cell phones to bed. I was using mine solely for telling time during the night and as an alarm in the morning. But having to grab my phone to wake it and read the time was causing me to have fitful sleep so I bought this clock. I love having the time projected subtley on the ceiling where all I have to do is open my eyes for a brief moment to see the time. I use the dual alarms depending on when I need to wake different days. I also like the nature sounds as I have tinnitus. I great purchase!

This is a pretty wonderful projection clock radio. There are a few points that keep me from rating it as five stars. First is the pretty small buttons on it. Big fingered people will have trouble. Second is the number of steps to go through to program an alarm. Make no mistake: you do program, not set the alarm. The station, volume, time, and days of the week the alarm will sound are all programmed. The night projection image is rather bright and has no brightness control. What is great about it? Several items. You can fall asleep to a nature sound at a low volume, but wake up to a radio station at a louder volume. The alarm starts off low volume and gradually gets louder. It has digital tuning and digital volume. The clock display has three levels of brighness plus off. The alarm set time displays on the clock but not the projection. The projection does show if either alarm is set to go off. The projection image can be rotated by the push of a button, each depression rotating the projected image by ninety degrees.Sound quality is not great but satisfactory for waking me up. It does take some reading of the manual to get the alarms programmed. I like the USB power outlet. It is useful for charging any USB powered device. You cannot play through the clock, however, just plug it in for a charge. If you are looking for a clock with nature sounds as the reason to buy this clock radio, that feature is not that great. Each of the five different sounds is about a 10-15 second loop that loops over and over creating a certain rhythm rather than random sounds of waterfalls, waves, rainfall (sounds more like bad static), jungle noises, and underwater bubbles. I am happy with my purchase, and would buy it again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by RandWro Good, Except Projection stops at 16 hrs
Great alarm clock. But we bought it for the projection, which is clear and sharp. BUT it cuts off after 16 hours, and you have to press a button again. What?!? Gosh, please just offer a Projector Setting of Off/On/16 hours. So its a very mixed review for a PROJECTOR ALARM CLOCK.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Pacito Best Alarm Clock
This is the best alarm clock I've owned. Great for simplicity, yet has all the features I need. Weekday, weekend alarm function memory, fade in sound wake up, it sets the time, date and day itself when you plug it in, and auto corrects for daylight savings time. It has a USB port I charge my phone with at night, which is very convenient to have on the nightstand. I us the nature sounds when reading or working from home. It has a rather small footprint but isn't hard to operate.
