This is a great Sony 60" TV. First of all it is built much sturdier than the competition, and the stand which is mounted in two places along the bottom insures you won't have any "leaning" that occurs in most middle stem mounts. The picture is superb and colors are totally accurate as long as you don't use the preset color modes. The preset color modes are over accentuated and surreal. When you set up the TV be sure to only use the "custom" mode, tweak around a little, and the colors will be near perfect with the best pure whites and blacks as I've seen on any screens in the 50"-70" panels.
You'll find weak and muffly sounding rear firing speakers on most big screens these days, but the built-in speakers on this Sony series are downward firing which is a big plus because at least they are usable - just crank them up to at least 20-25 or more. I use a 5.1 JBL surround system powered by a Denon surround amp for movies but otherwise it's nice to be able to use the built-in audio when I don't want big theater sound.
The "smart" TV functions work great and I had no problem setting up my Amazon Prime Video with the Sony's built-in WI-FI paired to my Uverse WI-FI. I've never had any lag at all while streaming HD Dolby 5.1 movies. There are many other features and services available such as the Sony Entertainment Network, Netflix, Accu-Weather, and many more.
I replaced an aged 50" Samsung DLP with this 60" Sony and am very happy with it. Really a solid performer in all respects.

Rated 3 out of 5 by magicfangers Good price and features, but a few drawbacks
I should note that price, size, and apps were the biggest deciding factor for my purchase of this TV. For the money, I really can't complain too much. It isn't without its issues, but this is still considered an entry level model, so it should be judged as such.
I think the physical design is great. It has a nice thin bezel and it's quite shallow. My only complaint is while the screen looks sleek and sexy while off, the glare can be pretty bad when in use.
Sound is pretty rough (like most LEDs), but my opinion is you shouldn't be buying a 60" TV without spending some money on a decent audio system. Hopefully most people don't have to deal with the cheap sounding speakers.
Like all Sony products, the interface is a bit clunky and buggy at times, especially with the apps. However, I am hoping that will improve with firmware upgrades. I am convinced Sony, in general, doesn't devote much time to improving user experience.
Picture quality is good after some tweaking. However, the biggest issue is the dreaded "Dirty Screen Effect". It's very noticeable with this TV and I really thought about sending it back, but decided it wasn't worth the hassle. In my experience, I have found it to varying degrees on most entry level TVs, regardless of manufacturer.
On a side note, I bought a couple of these TVs directly from Sony to receive their reward points. I had forgotten to log into my account, so I never received the points. I contacted their customer support and was told twice that there was nothing that they could do. Needless to say, I considered it a huge fail on their part. It's the little things Sony...

I purchased this TV at a discount in January. At the time I was torn between this technology and the newer 4K HD sets that were available.
I decided that this picture quality was very good and that there wasn't enough 4KHD media and programming available to justify the difference in price. I have not been disappointed. Watching golf on TV isn't something I normally do however the other day I couldn't take my eyes off a televised golf game because of the vibrant colors and incredible display. I have been a Sony customer for a long time and this purchase reinforced my belief in the quality and technology of the product and brand..

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sarita This TV has a very nice picture and overall I am very happy with it. However, when we got it the setup codes for the promotional Netflix, Hulu, and Music Unlimited did not work, and I had to spend several HOURS on the phone on multiple occasions trying to get it resolved. My only other tiny ongoing complaint is the internet part of the TV (Ex. Netflix) does not work right away when you turn it on, it takes about 90-120 seconds before this function works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MooMoo Awesome Picture and Sound Quality
I compared this tv against both Visio and Samsung models, but based on picture quality alone, this set was the best performer. I have it set up in a large room and I am NOT using a sound bar. However, audio on this tv is excellent - which is not always the case for slim profile tvs. You won't go wrong making this selection. Also, has all the input connections you would ever need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by GHDuffer The One & Only Sony
I recently purchased this TV at my local Costco. I did extensive research on what brands to buy for my new home's man cave. I didn't really consider Sony mainly because Sony's cost more than other TVs but Costco sold me on this one because it was on sale & the reviews were good. I don't regret getting this set. Crystal clear picture & razor thin. I even bought a Sony sound bar to go with it.
