by Kawall NO LONGER A SONY CUSTOMER!!!!!!!
I purchased this television and it arrived with a cracked screen. I immediately called Sony for some assistance and spoke to 4 customer service reps none of whom could assist me. I was told Sony has no replacement policy and I would have to wait 2-3 hours for a call from a different customer service dept. I never received the call and only got a response after sending an email to Sony. I was told that a refund would be processed 14 days after sony received the television. Not one time was the option presented to have the television replaced and this made me furious. My intent here was to have a television, however I am left with no tv and a hold on the funds to purchase another Television due to Sony's delayed return policy. I will no longer be purchasing any products from Sony and I am deeply dissapointed in the lack of customer service after spending $3,000 on a product.

by EricB Defective product
Bought the TV on Sony.com including a three year warranty because I am a worry wart. Was delivered fairly quickly which was nice. However upon power-up the screen appears to be defective. After three separate calls cumulatively over three hours I still am struggling to have the product replaced/repaired as I bounce back and forth between Sony.com sales, technical support, customer care and back again.

by Seadog67 Best Sports viewing ever!
People come to my house to watch sports in Ultra High Definition! It is so clear and sharp, we could be on the field or on the pitch or on the court, with the ball, scoring the points!
For an added thrill, I use the simulated 3D for some events!
We crank up the sound and the sub-woofer brings the game into the house with the noise of the game and the crowd.
As my younger crowd says, "Awesome, Dude!"

Rated 5 out of 5 by danon910 Truly The Best Of Sony
I've had this TV for over three months to replace my old Sony Bravia 32" HDTV. First, I was hesitant to get it because of the price tag compared to 4K TVs made by other manufacturer. I've been reading and exploring about 4K since its inception and some reviewers suggested that it's too early to own one due to the lack of 4K content. BUT I tend to disagree with those reviewers for couple of reasons: First , purchasing a TV is like an investment and you'll keep the TV for at least four years and 4K contents are increasing. Second, there are 4K contents! Most of the new shows and movies have been shot in 4K. Even if the content is not 4K, it'll be clearer in a 4K TV as the TV upscale it.
Now what makes this TV different from the competitors' are the superb picture quality, the front speakers, and the beautiful wedge premium design. While there's no argue that Sony's been known for making the best looking products, I haven't seen another TV that catches attention like it or come even close to it. Also, the picture quality feels vivid and real especially with the new dynamic range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Falken I have nothing I could say bad about this TV. I love it. Easy to setup and easy to operate. Love the built in manual and instructions for everything. Color is bright and beautiful. WiFi was easy to setup and use. Loads of useful APPS. Nice built in camera for use with Skype that was a big surprise since it wasn't mentioned in the sales or specifications on Sonystyle website. I do wish it was AirPlay compatible.
The only issue I have is with Sony Technical. When the TV gets a firmware or software update I get no info on what changes are being made. I want to know what is being upgraded/updated. I get a message "there may be some user settings that may have been changed". What settings?
There needs to be something with this information at the time of download.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HILL61 A noticeable upgrade from my 2008 Sony XBR4 46."
A great TV in all respects but I wouldn't say a "dramatic" upgrade from my 2008 Sony XBR4 46" in terms of picture quality for 98% of what I watch. I haven't watched any 4K material yet but didn't purchase it for that reason. Far more bells and whistles than I need. My new OPPO 103 Darbee Blu-Ray player brings out the true potential of audio/video qualities on the X900B. This TV has been thoroughly reviewed on many websites, all sterling ratings, so I don't think I could add much more to the praise.
One thing that does bother me is the fact that the speaker array, which is in a vertical alignment on either side of the screen, should have been covered as it was on my previous unit with a grill or cloth. The speaker drivers look cheap and are a bright silver. An aesthetic distraction and eyesore. I run my own audio through this TV, as I have always done. Also, I think that the audio and video settings are somewhat limited compared to my previous Sony. Would have enjoyed the ability for more fine tuning of those particular settings. Some other settings seem less useful in the way they effect picture quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DeBruce There Is Only One TV: Sony!
At this point, I don't even look at other brands when I decide to purchase a television. Bought my first Sony in 1972, and still have it. It was a 13' portable for my dorm room, and through years of abuse, camping trips, etc., . . . yes, it still works perfectly. When the first HD tv's came out, I bought the big 36" cathode ray tube Sony. Dazzling, and yes, still have it, and the kids use it for their gaming tv. When I upgraded, I bought the top of the line Sony XBR 9 flatscreen, a 42", which was huge, at the time. Dazzling, and still in use in the master bedroom. And, our newer XBR 900 is our primary TV at the moment, a 54", but we are currently building a new great room, and are looking forward to purchasing a new XBR 900 in a more appropriate size for a 36 x 28 space, hopefully a 70-80", and maybe a 4K. The great thing about our Sony's, is they never seem to die, and we are still using them all, including a 21" in the kitchen. You won't find clearer more life-like viewing than a Sony XBR, period. Nothing compares. Sony forever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by MarkWoody Very Good 4K TV, but ....
For the money, brand and expectation I give 4 starts.
In general is a very good 4K TV but with some flows, and here are the bad ones:
A. Mounting: The TV frame is large (55 & 65”) and the wall holding screws are small than the needed ones. You fill that will don’t hold the whole TV on the wall, BUT they will.
B. Setup: Sony has a problem in the past with preview version of this TV due the software. Finally, they decide to revamp the whole software, and “Voilà”!
1. Not so great settings setups after all.
2. Despite the excellent sound hardware, the setups are not so great.
3. Sound do not process all the feeds push by cable companies on different channels very well. Most of the blame will fold in the providers and cable companies lap. So, let give a break to Sony in this one. In DVD, CD and 4K stream – everything is almost perfect.
4. You need some time to play with all the sound settings to come-up with some satisfactory resolution.
For the good and great ones, I have to let the owners to find out, they will be very happy overall with this purchase.
