Rated 5 out of 5 by ZekeOne Works Great.
I bought this unit to replace a Panasonic unit that died after just 8 months of use. It had never worked correctly anyway, as it never did connect to the internet via WiFi to do software updates (which I didn't confirm until after I saw how well this Sony unit worked).
This Sony unit connected immediately (with positive feedback, so I knew I was connected) and worked great, right out of the gate. I now have at least 5 dozen sites available, and many are free.
The Blu-ray functionality has been flawless. Even playing some scratchy old DVD's without issue.
The unit has a small footprint. The remote is also smaller than most, which was a plus for me. My only negative comment would be that the pause button should be the same size as the play button and placed directly under the play. But that is very minor unless you have big paws. Overall, I give this unit a big thumbs up. Nice design, great functionality, WiFi compatible and easy to navigate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JimmySr Compact and Absolutely Amazing Picture
This small no frills 3D and WI-FI player provides us the best picture quality we've ever experienced from Sony Blu-ray players on our Sony 55W900A TV. The small unity takes up very little space and the easy set-up was literally plug-and-play. Less than 10 minutes from unpacking until we were watching 3D movies. We would recommend this BDP-S5200 player to anyone who desires simplicity with no displays on the player. It's only 10 1/2 inches x 7 7/8 inches x 1 3/4 inches high; it actually slide easily beneath the side of our TV.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LarryH Sony 3D Blu-Ray Disk player
This Blu-Ray player works great, have had it for about 4 weeks now and not a problem with it. Sometimes I don't have a Blu-Ray to watch but I still have other choices such as NetFlicks, Crackle and/or several other choices. The player is small and compact, therefore it does not take up much room.

Rated 1 out of 5 by LongtimeSony Problem with Internet Access
I am disappointed this time's purchase. I had problem getting internet access with this DVD player. Wi-Fi connection shows ok but internet access shows 'failed'. I have contacted support three times and they are still trying to figure out the problem. One time they gave me the case number and said someone from the second level would call me back but never did. They reviewed the setting of the player and my modem and router and indicated problem most likely came from the player's software inside, which needs an upgrade.

Rated 2 out of 5 by eagerzoo slow & not as user friendly
This 2014 unit is not as user friendly & accessible as the older 'google TV' box... we really wish we could revive the older box or, at least, fix/repair/replace the remote for the older box which is all than busted on the older box...

Rated 3 out of 5 by NickK Menus Difficult
The player is nice, small and very lightweight. It moves easily when you press the buttons on the unit. I found the menus somewhat difficult to maneuver and understand clearly.

Rated 2 out of 5 by ZaDomSC Good Player but it has some issues
Overall works well but I've been having a issue with the unit turning on. For what ever reason some times the unit won't turn on by remove or button the the player. I have to unplug the unit and plug it back in which seems to reset it. This happens weekly. I need to take it back for a replacement but haven't had time yet.
The unit itself is good, I wish the remote had a keyboard it would make it more functional when surfing the web or typing in movies via netflix. I'm happy with the purchase but wish the unit didn't have the power issue.

Rated 3 out of 5 by pizza12 could be better
I would give five stars if Netflix would work more often on this device. All other video services on this device work fine without having to constantly reset all of the settings every couple days.
