24” Class (23.5" diag) Internet TV powered by Google TV™
no REAL parental control
My children used our PC to watch netflix, and the PC parental controls both on Microsoft and on Apple allowed time limits for child users. Google TV has no such limit capability and so far no apps allow multiple users with time limits the way I expected when I bought it. We do not allow regular TV. YouTube and Netflix is not able to be limited in time or content with the internet TV. I would NOT have bought it had I known.

Love this TV
This is a fantastic TV. I'm so completely happy with it. I purchased this for my kitchen and would love to get another for my bedroom. It found my router very quickly and had absolutely no issues with set up. I recently had the first update to the TV and the changes made were fantastic. Thank you for such a great product.

Good TV, Google TV features are adequate
There are two parts to this product:
1) The TV/Monitor
The TV in my opinion is good but just short of great. For a 24" display, it's pretty clear. Picture quality is great. Sound is average.
As a monitor, it's great if you have HDMI. If you don't, you're out of luck.
There is a PIP feature but apparently I can't have the TV and the PC monitor on at the same time. Neither can I have an app or TV on at the same time. Nor can I have an app and the PC monitor on at the same time. Yes, you read that right. None of the 'sensible' combinations seem to work. I can have PIP on while I am browsing the menu (yes, the menu, not the web) but as soon as I choose something, the PIP disappears.
2) Google TV
- Apps are limited. I am certainly hoping that an upgrade will fix this. The greatest saving grace for the platform is that it theoretically is upgradeable so if it's limited today, it can be remedied in the future. Soon I hope ;-)
- Browser is not great. Not sure how it can be better but I just can't use it.
- UPNP support is very good. The file format support is great. It's not up to the range of the Boxee but it beats Roku or Apple TV if you want to stream local media.
- Netflix support is good. Nothing spectacular but it works.
- No Hulu+ or Amazon VOD.
In conclusion, I think at the price I got it ($299) this was a bargain. You basically get a 24" TV/monitor which is not too expensive (not cheap either but there are TV/monitors of this size that are way beyond this price point) and a beginning/potential of a great platform. I think the gamble is worth it and am looking forward to Google stepping up and fulfilling this promise. If Google TV dies a slow death, the price paid may sting but not too much.

I love it because I knew what I was buying!
I had been looking at this tv for almost a year now so I knew what I was buying before I bought it. The sound could be better I agree. But most flat screen TVs at this price range & size are comparable with the sound. I knew before purchasing, that streaming video from ABC, NBC, & Fox was not going to work. (CW does work with a setting change) Web browsing is fast, and Netflix works great. I am very happy with my purchase.
